The agreement between FlashLED and Telefónica Tech , Telefónica's digital services unit, allows the V16 SOS beacon to be provided with a connectivity service, which includes a SIM card and access to Telefónica's latest generation NB-loT network until 2038 without additional costs.
In this way, the driver will be able to make announcements in a simple way simply by pressing the SOS button on the beacon, connecting through an NB (Narrow Band) communications network. This type of network works under 4G and 5G antennas and makes it possible to effectively broadcast a signal of the position in which the accident is located, even in areas with little coverage, such as subways, parking lots or areas with few populations.
