Luminous warning device V-16
The use of approved beacons in exchange for triangles
The DGT emergency beacon regulations were approved by Royal Decree 159/2021 of March 16, 2021.
These types of beacons can be used to replace emergency triangles, and it will be from January 1, 2026 when the use of this type of device is mandatory for all vehicles that circulate in Spanish national territory.
The FlashLED v16 beacon is one of the few devices and brands with the approved V16 certificate and that comply with the new DGT approval.
FlashLED V-16 is a light beacon for pre-signaling danger on roads developed by the KPS Group.
It has received approval by the General Directorate of Traffic certificate number LCOE 2020040382G.
The V-16 signaling light devices are recommended, from July 1, 2021, to replace the current road signaling triangles.
Likewise, the private use of non-approved light signals is not allowed according to the Law on Traffic, Circulation of Motor Vehicles and Road Safety (art. 61.2).
In addition to exposing yourself to administrative sanctions for this, the use of non-approved light devices can be dangerous for the occupants of the vehicle and the rest that circulate on the roads as they lack the technical visibility requirements that are considered safe by the General Directorate of Traffic. .
