Like any new product that enters the market, and taking into account the innovative technology that the FlashLED SOS Connected beacon incorporates, it is normal that doubts or confusion may arise about its exact operation and details. That is why here we leave you some key points that are important for the general knowledge for the consumer of this new product that will contribute to the safety of our roads:
- The beacons are activated at the factory: when the user opens it, they do not have to do anything at all, pressing the button on the beacon itself activates the direct connection with the DGT platform (DGT3.0).
- The DGT platform is already operational: you will soon see that in Google maps, Waze, browsers,... it notifies us of vehicles parked on the shoulder X meters away... This information comes from the V16 connected with DGT and from the DGT They share it with the different Apps, mobility platforms and signs or digital panels of the administration.
- The notification to the DGT is always anonymous: even if the client registers in the app, the DGT does not know who is sending the signal, the only information it receives is an alert signal and the specific details of the location where the same signal comes from. .
- Duration of the connectivity service: in accordance with Royal Decree 1030/2022, the product must include 12 years of connectivity at no additional cost. In our case, we include 3 additional years so that from today the product connects, and that in 2026 it will still have the mandatory 12 years, so connectivity is included until 2038. From 2026 the product will include 13 years of connectivity.
