Royal Decree 1030/2022
Mandatory use in 2026
Following the recent approval of Royal Decree 1030/2022, the traffic authorities recommend the RACC FlashLED SOS Geolocatable V16 Emergency Light. It will replace the emergency triangles, if you wish, from July 1, 2021 and will be mandatory from January 1, 2026.
Say goodbye to warning triangles
RACC FlashLED SOS is designed for quick and safe mounting on the vehicle roof in an emergency with a magnetic mount. Thanks to its immediate signaling capacity in the event of a breakdown or accident, and its use without having to leave the vehicle, as is the case with emergency triangles, the DGT has recognized this light as a valid signaling element since 2023.
The FlashLED and Telefónica Tech connectivity service includes and guarantees the cost of communications and data service until 2038, a SIM card and access to Telefónica's latest generation NB-loT network. In this way, the driver will be able to make notifications in a simple way by pressing the SOS button on the beacon, effectively communicating the position of the accident, even in areas with little coverage.
